Here are some apps to try out to get the most from Meet.

If you are using Google Meet, which comes standard when creating Google Calendar events for 2+ people, then you may wonder why everyone is talking about Zoom. Aside from the obvious demand increases, Meet does have some nice features such as the Grid View to see the lovely faces of all participants at once.

Snap Camera: All the effects

Emoji Head, Potato, star eyes, you name it. This app adds Lenses your laptop camera enough to augment your face off. Or just put a cat on your head. Whatever does you most. I will spare you the examples :)

Nod: Reactions for Google Meet

I think this could really change the feeling of remote meetings for the better.

Nod in action: Emojis disappear but hand raises stay until removed.

So just what exactly is the etiquette for an informal remote meeting? No one knows really, and many people are new to remote work and the technology. One of the biggest differences is with non-verbal communication and how normal things like laughing can actually interrupt a remote meeting.

With Nod you can send emojis as reactions that don’t interrupt the same way as talking or chat. Or raise your hand so that the speaker can see you have a questions without a potentially awkward pause.
